The Rusk County Expo Center hosts the Wild Horse and Burro Expo

The Wild Horse and Burro Expo will be held Friday, Oct. 20, and Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Rusk County Expo Center, 3303 FM 13, Henderson, Texas.

The Bureau of Land Management will host adoption events noon to 6 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Thirty-five adult and yearling horses and burros will be available, with an animal adoption fee of $125.

Bureau staff will approve applications on-site and assist adopters through the short application process.

The expo will also hold a horse show featuring trained wild horses, burros and their adopters at 9 a.m. Saturday, and gentling demonstrations will take place throughout Friday and Saturday.
