A man has been arrested after he was found concealing about 28 grams of methamphetamine in his pants, according to the Bowie County Sheriff's Office.

Jonathan Lee Allen, 26, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams and under 200 grams. He was also charged with resisting arrest, search, or transport according to information from BCSO. He has been booked into the Bi-State Jail.

At about 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, BSCO Deputy Shawn Martin conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation on a 2001 Toyota Avalon in the 5100 block of Mall Drive in Texarkana.

Upon speaking with the three occupants, Martin noticed that the rear passenger was exceptionally nervous.

The passenger was identified as Allen. All three occupants were searched, but Allen was behaving in a manner that led Martin to believe he was concealing something inside of his clothing. As Martin attempted to thoroughly check his clothing, Allen became combative. He was restrained and found to have concealed about 28 grams of methamphetamine in his pants, authorities say.
