NEW BOSTON, Texas-The Bowie County Commissioners Court will meet at 8:30 a.m. today to hold a public hearing on the county's proposed 2018-2019 Fiscal Year budget.
Commissioners must vote on the budget next month before it goes into effect Oct. 1.
Following the public hearing, commissioners will hold their regular second monthly meeting at 9 a.m. to consider a measure which would allow for honorably retired Sheriff's Office deputies to obtain a certificate to carry a firearm.
In other business, commissioners will consider approving both a Republican and a Democratic Party election judge to serve on the county's Early Voting Ballot Board.
