Put on Purple Wine and Beer Festival fundraiser is planned for March 24 at Oak Grove Golf Club to raise money for lupus research.
Activities start at 8:30 a.m. with the third annual Drive Out Lupus two-man scramble golf tournament. The cost is $150 per team, and a $10,000 hole-in-one prize is available.
The artisan market opens at 9 a.m. and features goods from local and regional vendors. A car and truck show starts 10 a.m. Entry to both is free to the public.
The wine and beer garden is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and features samples from 10 Texas wineries and craft breweries. Tastings are $1. Admission is $10 and includes a wine glass and tote. T-shirt ticket packages are available until March 2 for $25 and include the event T-shirt, one free tasting and entry into a drawing.
Randy's BBQ and Lagniappe Crawfish food trucks will be at the event, as well.
