MLK program set for Sunday at UA Hope

Churches in Hope, Ark., will host the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. program at 4 p.m. Sunday in the Johnny Rapert Auditorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas at Hope.

The theme is "Empowering the Generations to Live the Dream." Guest speaker is Dr. Juanita Mitchell, director of the Southern Arkansas Tech Career Academy.

Host churches and pastors are the Rev. Monette Shaw of Beebe Memorial CME Church, Rev. Deborah Cotledge of Mount Pleasant CME Church and Rev. Catrina Ward of Mt. Zion CME Church.

The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
