High speed chase on Interstate 30 near Prescott leads to hunt for suspect

A search continues for a suspect who attempted to elude Arkansas State Police during a chase on Interstate 30 nearly to Prescott, Ark. at speeds of 120 mph.

Few details were available late Monday. ASP Spokesman Bill Sadler said no information had been forwarded from the investigating trooper.

The pursuit started at 3:42 p.m. Monday during a traffic stop on I-30 and traveled eastbound, according to scanner traffic.

Arkansas State Police troopers joined the chase and positioned their patrol units to use spikes to stop the chase.

However, the suspect's vehicle rolled over and the driver was thrown out of the car, according to scanner radio traffic.

The search for the suspect includes the state police helicopter and two tracking dogs.

A reserve deputy reportedly spotted the suspect climbing out of a deer stand and into the woods, according to scanner  traffic.
