Beginning April 1, HealthSouth Texarkana will be known as Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana. The hospital will continue to provide the same high-quality, post-acute care for patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries.
A celebration and ribbon-cutting is set fo 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. April 3 at the rehab hospital, 515 W. 12th St., Texarkana, Texas.
HealthSouth Corporation launched its new name and brand of Encompass Health Jan. 1 and will be transitioning its 127 inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, 200 home health locations and 37 hospice agencies to the new name and brand through 2019. All of the company's post-acute care service locations in Texas will transition April 1. The company serves 36 states and Puerto Rico.
