An 84-year-old Fulton, Ark., woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 67.
Mildred Brinkley was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash report. The wreck happened at 4:28 p.m.
Mildred Brinkley was a passenger in a 1999 Chevy Impala that was northbound on U.S. 67. The report states the vehicle, driven by Joseph Brinkley, 79, of Fulton, failed to stop at a stop sign near Interstate 30 Exit 12 and collided with a pickup in the southbound lane.
The Chevrolet pickup was driven by Chester Johnson, 58, of Hope, Ark.
