One person is dead after a possible hit-and-run in Bowie County.
A woman's body was found Wednesday in a ditch on Farm to Market Road 992 between New Boston and DeKalb, officials said.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run between a pedestrian and a vehicle, said Sgt. Sylvia Jennings, spokeswoman for DPS.
The victim's body has been sent for an autopsy. No identity was released Wednesday.
