McCurtain County VA clinic to host open house Thursday

The McCurtain County, Okla., Veterans Administration Community Based Outpatient Clinic will host an open house and enrollment fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018, for veterans and the public.

The clinic is located at 903 SE Washington St. in Idabel, Okla.

"Along with touring the 7,000-square-foot clinic, veterans will have the opportunity to enroll for VA health care and learn about VA benefits," spokesman Nathan Schaefer said.

The clinic, part of the Eastern Oklahoma VA Health Care System, officially opened on Sept. 22, 2017. In February 2017, the VA awarded STG International Inc. a contract to operate a new CBOC in McCurtain County.

"The McCurtain County VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic provides a full range of on-site and tele-health services for veterans in the southeast Oklahoma area to include primary care, mental and behavioral health, laboratory and women's health services," he said.
