Three-vehicle accident claims life, injures three

A 21-year-old Texarkana man was killed early Monday in a three-vehicle accident in Hempstead County.

Jaylen C. Willis was pronounced dead at 7:03 a.m. at the scene of the accident, according to an Arkansas State Police report.

The accident happened at 5:24 a.m. on Highway 278 west in Ozan, Ark., according to the report.

Willis was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata westbound on highway 278 when he lost control, crossed the center line and struck an eastbound pickup truck.

After the impact, the pickup crossed into the westbound lane and struck a Nissan, according to the report.

Two Hope, Ark., residents and a Washington, Ark., resident were injured in the accident.
