Four arrested in Hope on drug charges

Agents from the 8th North Drug Task Force arrested four suspects for allegedly selling methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia in a raid about 8:30 p.m. Friday, according to Hempstead (Ark.) County Sheriff James Singleton.

The task force comprises officers from Hempstead County Sheriff's Office, Nevada County Sheriff's Office, Hope police and Prescott police.

The officers searched two residences, one at 1712 W. Ave B., and one in the 200 block of North Andres Street in Hope.

At the Avenue B address, agents arrested Tommy Cole, 34, of Hope, for possession with purpose to deliver (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lori Miller, 37, of Hope, was charged with possession with purpose to deliver (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At the North Andres address, agents arrested Tyson Hamilton, 41, of Hope, and Davis Purifoy, 42, of Hope. Hamilton and Purifoy were charged with possession with purpose to deliver cocaine and methamphetamine.

The suspects were turned over to the jail staff for booking. All suspects are being held pending a first court appearance in the Hempstead County Detention Center in Hope, Singleton said.
