Church to host gospel singing

Queen City's Open Door Baptist Church is hosting a special evening of gospel music and singing 6 p.m. Saturday.

Musicians from three states are expected to perform.

The church is commending the arrival of new minister Wayne Shew and wishes to make a special effort to reach out to the public

Musicians to perform include:

  •  Chip Bricker and group from the Wake Village Baptist Church
  •  Barry Hendrick of the Gray Baptist Church in Jefferson
  •  Lawrence Blizzard and group from the Enon Baptist Church, Doddridge, Ark.
  •  Brooke Wisdom from First Baptist church, Atlanta.
  •  Scott Venable and group from Cross Creek Cowboy Baptist Church, Smyrna
  •  Alan Finley

The Open Door Baptist Church is located on U. S. Highway 59 in Queen City near its intersection with Farm to Market Road 96.
