Queen City's Open Door Baptist Church is hosting a special evening of gospel music and singing 6 p.m. Saturday.
Musicians from three states are expected to perform.
The church is commending the arrival of new minister Wayne Shew and wishes to make a special effort to reach out to the public
Musicians to perform include:
- Chip Bricker and group from the Wake Village Baptist Church
- Barry Hendrick of the Gray Baptist Church in Jefferson
- Lawrence Blizzard and group from the Enon Baptist Church, Doddridge, Ark.
- Brooke Wisdom from First Baptist church, Atlanta.
- Scott Venable and group from Cross Creek Cowboy Baptist Church, Smyrna

The Open Door Baptist Church is located on U. S. Highway 59 in Queen City near its intersection with Farm to Market Road 96.
