Strong to severe thunderstorms will move across the Texarkana area today, bringing strong winds and a possibility of flooding.
An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook from the National Weather Service.
"Greater instability during the afternoon may increase the severe weather threat over Southern Arkansas and Northern Louisiana. In addition, locally heavy rainfall may lead to isolated flooding. The severe weather threat should end this evening," NWS stated.
A lake wind advisory is in effect until 1 a.m. Thursday across the region.
