Potentially severe thunderstorms will move across the Texarkana region Wednesday, with flash flooding, tornadoes, damaging winds and large hail possible.
Daytime heating followed by a slow-moving cool front will drive the storm system, and "2 to 4 inches of rainfall will be common for many locales," according to a Hazardous Weather Outlook issued by the National Weather Service.
NWS recommends being prepared for various storm warnings.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Southeast Oklahoma, Southwest Arkansas, the northern two thirds of Northeast Texas and portions of Northern Louisiana until 7 a.m. Thursday.
