The Linden-Kildare football stadium is one of the best in the county to watch student activities from football to band to cheerleading.

The field looks traditional and colorful. Buildings at both goal-line ends have interesting messages on them. The grass has a smooth and high crown. Players in the center will gain speed when running toward the sidelines. The slope makes for some interesting foot-races.

Sounds are clear. Cheerleaders can talk to the fans in the stands. Voices called out from the stands can be heard on the field. Even the coaches' voices can be overheard. The huge blue-and-white bell rings loudly on the sideline as it is struck by students with a real hammer.

Even small-size bands sound and look good on this field. And one of the best parts is that the time-honored field seems to bring with it memories of exciting moments from the past.

Topping off the exceptional atmosphere, sometimes the Linden-Kildare ISD Superintendent Kerri Winters sings the opening "The Star-Spangled Banner." This, too, is one of the best versions in the county.
