Authorities make arrest in Atlanta blaze

ATLANTA, Texas - Law enforcement officers have made an arrest in connection with a destructive blaze that took out three buildings Thursday morning in downtown Atlanta.

Atlanta Police Chief Robin Betts confirmed early Sunday evening that a suspect has been taken into custody in relation to the fire.

Betts said a special task force was assigned to the case and made the arrest.

Betts declined to release the suspect's name, but he did say that the Cass County District Attorney Office will be issuing statement this morning.

The fire began before 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
