De QUEEN, Ark.-Sevier County in Southwest Arkansas is now under a burn ban.
County Judge Greg Ray issued the burn ban Tuesday, according to the County Judge's Office.
Sevier County joins the Southwest Arkansas counties of Miller, Lafayette, Hempstead, Howard and Pike, which all also have burn bans. In all, 19 counties in Arkansas are under burn bans. Bowie and Cass counties in Northeast Texas are also under burn bans.
All burn bans are ordered by the county judges in their respective counties when fire danger is high. All burning is prohibited until further notice.
