Police find Shreveport patrol unit in Bowie County

TEXARKANA, Texas - A call about a suspicious vehicle in Bowie County on Sept. 10 turned out to be a Shreveport Police Department patrol unit.

Bowie County Sheriff James Prince said Wednesday that a deputy responded Sept. 10 to a call about a suspicious vehicle north of Texarkana on Bowie County Road 2302.

Once they saw the car, a white Crown Victoria, deputies learned it was a patrol car registered to the Shreveport, La., Police Department.

Deputies believed the car had been at the location for a while when it was found.

Prince said he believes officers from Shreveport have already picked the car up and taken it back to Louisiana.

The car has not been linked to any crime as of Wednesday.
