County Commissioners to consider agreement with road department

NEW BOSTON, Texas-Bowie County Commissioners will consider approving an interlocal agreement between the county's Precinct 4 road department and Maud, Texas, during their regular meeting at 10 a.m., today.

If approved, the agreement would call for allowing the precinct to conduct minor road repairs and maintenance such as pot hole filling as well as replacing asphalt in addition to edging and mowing along side roadways and installing driveway culverts.

The agreement would also call for Maud city officials to pay for the necessary road materials, county employee time and equipment costs associated with the work.

Commissioners will also consider submitting a proposal for studying a preliminary plan to have the Interstate 30 and future Interstate 369 West Loop Interchange run near the TexAmericas Center with a possible frontage road in order to have roadway access to the center.

In other business, commissioners will listen to a presentation from representatives from the Waco, Texas-based Patillo, Brown and Hill auditing firm, who will present the county's 2015 annual financial report.
