A suspect in the March 29 homicide on Mamie Street has been extradited back to Texarkana, Texas, from Tennessee.

Anthony Wilson Jr., 19, of Texarkana, Ark., was booked into the Bi-State Justice Building jail late Monday, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for Texarkana, Texas, Police Department.

He was wanted on a capital murder warrant related to the homicide of Casey Smith. His bond has been set at $1 million.

U.S. Marshals arrested Wilson on April 18 in Jackson, Tenn. He was held in the Madison County jail.

Detectives believe that Wilson was one of four men who attempted to rob Smith in front of a residence in the 2400 block of Mamie Street.

Three other suspects were arrested within days of the homicide and charged with capital murder. All are being held in the Bi-State jail on $1 million bonds. When officers responded to 911 calls from people who reported hearing shots fired, they discovered Smith lying beside a vehicle in front of a residence. Smith, who had been shot several times, was deceased.
