During a special meeting today, trustees of Liberty-Eylau Independent School District will conduct interviews of candidates to serve the remainder of the term of longtime board member Dan Haskins, who died in June.
Haskins served for 26 years on the board and was re-elected in May. The board will interview Terence Washington and Trevelyan Hodge in closed session for possible appointment to the position.
The chosen candidate will serve in the position until May 2017, when they will have the option to run for the two years remaining in the term.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the Board Room, 2901 Leopard Drive, Texarkana, Texas.
