A Monday morning collision claimed the life of a Hooks, Texas, man driving a Honda motorcycle on Farm to Market Road 2148, according to Sgt. Sylvia Jennnings, Texas Department of Public Safety spokeswoman.
Jennings said the accident occurred about 1/4 of a mile west of Carol Lane.
A preliminary crash report from DPS stated that, about 11:25 a.m. Monday, a Toyota Tundra pulling a trailer was headed west on FM 2148 and making a left turn onto a private drive.
Kodi Kolieo Scott, 23, was also headed west on a Honda motorcycle when he approached the Toyota pickup, according to the DPS report.
"The motorcycle went into side skid before colliding with both the pickup and trailer," Jennings said.
Scott was taken to CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System and then airlifted to Baptist Medical Center Hospital in Little Rock before being pronounced dead nearly 10 hours after the crash, according to the DPS report.
Jennings said the crash is still under investigation, and no other information is available at this time.
