Three suspects arrested in area bank robbery

Three suspects from Tulsa, Okla., have been arrested in connection with a Mineral Springs, Ark., bank robbery, and an arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect, Howard County Sheriff Bryan McJunkins said.

Two suspects have been taken from Tulsa, Okla., to the Howard County, Ark., jail in Nashville and will be in the Howard County Circuit Court Aug. 31 to be charged in the robbery of the Mineral Springs branch of Diamond Bank July 25.

The third suspect remains in custody in Tulsa. An arrest warrant has been issued for a fourth suspect, according to a news release issued by McJunkins.

The three Tulsa suspects arrested are Bobby Padillow, 24; Tatyana McBee, 18; and Byron Coleman, 30.

Padillow remains in Tulsa, while McBee and Coleman have been placed in the Howard County jail.

McBee and Coleman had their first appearance in court Aug. 25 and should be in circuit court Aug. 31 to be formally charged with the robbery.

"The investigation has been ongoing since the day of the robbery, with several agencies working on the investigation," said McJunkins.

"Arkansas State Police Special Agents John Rhone and Corwin Battle are the lead case agents for the investigation," he said.

"Investigators from Howard County Sheriff's Office, the Nashville Police Department, the FBI, and the Mineral Springs Police Department all worked hard on the investigation," said McJunkins.

By Aug. 17, arrest warrants had been obtained for four people, and Rhone and Battle, along with Howard County investigator Blake Eudy, Nashville Investigator Larry Marion and an FBI agent, went to Tulsa. The investigators worked with the Tulsa police to arrest three of the four robbery suspects.

"Further arrests are expected, and the investigation is continuing," said McJunkins.

The Mineral Springs bank was robbed about 3 p.m. July 25, and the four suspects allegedly entered the bank, got the money and exited the building within about two minutes.

Security cameras recorded the robbery.

The recording shows two robbers leaping over the counter and filling the bags with cash from the drawers.

Clothing believed to have been worn by the bank robbers were found discarded in the Mineral Springs city park about six blocks from the bank.
