Shane Powell lifts a box of clothes bound for Louisiana flood victims Saturday at Texarkana Tire and Lube on Arkansas Boulevard. He and a few friends organized to gather donations of water, clothes, sanitary items and toys and bring them to the flood-affected areas of Livingston and Tangipahoa parishes. The group said they will deliver the items to churches and fire departments today and gather more donations at the same location on Sept. 3.
