The Texarkana, Ark., Police Department has announced the recent promotion of three officers.
Sgt. Jeff Gladden has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant. He began his law enforcement career with the TAPD in January 2006. Prior to TAPD, Gladden worked for the Texarkana, Texas, Police Department as a lieutenant and the Wake Village Police Department. Throughout Gladden's law enforcement career, he has worked in the criminal investigation division as a detective and as a supervisor. He was the field training officer coordinator for the TTPD as well as a member of SWAT team. Gladden has recently been serving as a sergeant in the patrol division.
Gladden is a law enforcement fitness specialist and dedicates many hours of his personal time to helping other officers reach their physical fitness goals. He holds an intermediate certificate and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation.
Cpl. Andy Anthony has been promoted to the rank of sergeant. He began his law enforcement career with the TAPD in March 1998. During his tenure with the TAPD, Anthony has served in the patrol division and the housing unit of Special Operations Division.
Anthony is a member of the Texarkana, Ark., SWAT team, honor guard, advisory board committee, and is a field training officer. He holds an advanced certificate and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation.
Officer Jeremy Gordon has been promoted to the rank of sergeant. He began his career with the TAPD in 1998. During his tenure with the TAPD, Gordon has served in the patrol division, crime suppression unit of the Special Operations Division, the housing unit of special operations and in the Criminal Investigation Division where he was a narcotics detective.
Gordon has served as a member of the Texarkana, Ark., SWAT team and is a field training officer. He holds an advanced certificate and has received numerous letters of commendation and appreciation.
