CASA of Northeast Texas Tiny House Giant Cause Raffle Party will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. tonight at Hopkins Icehouse on Gibson Lane, Texarkana, Texas.
Tickets are $20, and only 1,000 will be sold.
"This takes the place of Operation Playhouse," Leigh Davis, development director for CASA of Northeast Texas said in an earlier story. "We're just trying to keep things new and fresh, and tiny houses are a big craze right now. We wanted to get in on this movement and raise some excitement for CASA."
The tiny house measures 8 feet by 20 feet and was built by the Texarkana Collge Construction Technology program. It boasts a long list of amenities including refrigerator and freezer, two-burner glass electric range, stainless steel sink, hot and cold water, water closet, shower, electric connection, water connection, heat and air conditioning, waste drainage connection and a covered front porch.
CASA's goal is to raise $20,000 with this event.
There are a few tickets left and those are available at casatexarkana.org/tinyhouse until noon today. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the event. Participants don't have to be present at the raffle party to win.
