North Heights Entrepreneurial Leadership Academy seventh-grade student Mariah Huntley performs the poem "Still, I Rise" by Maya Angelou during the Express Yourself Poetry Night Wednesday at the Silvermoon on Broad Theatre. The event was the culmination of the English department's poetry project-based learning unit, wherein all students wrote and performed poetry at school. The winners from each class were given the opportunity to showcase their talents Wednesday night on stage at the Silvermoon on Broad for peers and parents.
