Car club donates to Hempstead sheriff's office

The "Plow Boys Car Club" recently donated $500 to the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) to help buy gifts for area children for Christmas.

Howard Tippit, representing the "Plow Boys Car Club" presented Hempstead County Sheriff James Singleton with a $500 check so deputies could provide Christmas presents to children in the county.

In previous years, the sheriff's department has raised money to help make Christmas better for the children at the Arkansas Sheriff's Youth Ranch in Amity, but those children have been moved to the main ranch in Batesville. Because of this, I decided there were children in Hempstead County could benefit from gifts this year, " he said.

"I appreciate the Plow Boys Car Club for its donation. It will help children in Hempstead County have a better Christmas this year," Singleton said.
