Twice as Nice Music Academy piano students participated in the Music Teachers National Association's Music Achievement Award Program under the direction of Donaylé Cardenas.
Students were recognized Dec. 17 at the academy's Winter Kinderszenen Piano Recital at the Regional Arts Center in Texarkana. The program encourages students to continue piano and music studies and achieve goals that help them become better musicians and enhance their love and appreciation for music.
Specific goals include the public recital and participation in academy events such as The Digital Performance Day and Piano Parent Participation Day.
In all, eight students were recognized for completing these goals: Brooke Webber, Ari Williams, Kaylin Grissom, Faye Addison, Jewel Bui, Hali Hargrove, Ashley Marquez and Cayla Lewis. Michael Cardenas is co-owner and manager of the academy.
