Baseball program for individuals with disabilities

Buddy Baseball, an organized sports program for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities, is signing players for the spring season. The first game is March 26. The league is for children from kindergarten through high school. Games are played at Woodall Field in Paris, Texas.

The cost is $15 per player. Registration is mandatory. Scholarships are also available.

Games are usually played on Saturday mornings from late March to mid-May. Each player is provided with a buddy, and parents are encouraged to enjoy the game from the sidelines. Siblings can be buddies if they are 12 by March 24.

Release forms must be signed by parents or guardians.

Teams don't normally have weekly practice, but that decision is left up to the coaches. The registration deadline is March 4. For more information or to register online, visit rrvdss.org and click the link for Buddy Baseball.
