The Hooks Special Industrial Development Corporation will be getting 10 acres of land for $185,000.

The TexAmericas Center Board of Directors agreed to sell the land to the corporation during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday. The city will use the land to attract businesses interested in building their companies there.

In other business, board members granted a license to the M2 Services Corporation. The license will allow the firm to use designated roadways on the center's central campus to test refurbished military vehicles, said TexAmericas Center Executive Director Scott Norton.
