NEW BOSTON, Texas-The Bowie County Commissioners Court will meet at 10 a.m. today to consider hiring an Amarillo, Texas-based software firm to transfer information from county and district clerk files and dockets to the Internet.

Commissioners, who will meet inside the county courthouse, will consider hiring iDocket.com LLC to grant access to both the County Clerk's Office and the District Clerk's Office court docket data on the Internet as a public service.

The firm would transfer, as designated by the county, file and docket information which is already available for public inspection in the county offices for placement on the internet. This information would be implemented, supported and maintained at no charge to the county.

In other business, commissioners will also take action on adding a link to the county's Website that would allow the public access to the current and ongoing Interstate 30 East Texas Corridor Study. The study's purpose is to identify rural transportation safety and traffic capacity needs along a 145-mile stretch of I-30 starting east from Farm-to-Market Road 2642 near the Rockwall County and Hunt County line and proceeding west to the Texas-Arkansas state line. The corridor stretch goes through six counties, including Hunt, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, Morris and Bowie counties.
