An informational session on Arkansas Connections Academy, a free virtual public school for students in kindergarten through ninth grade, will be held at 11 a.m. May 10 at the Holiday Inn Arkansas Convention Center, 5200 Convention Plaza Drive, Texarkana, Ark.
During the session, the family's role in the education process will be discussed, along with extracurricular activities offered for the students. The technology-based school was approved in March by the Arkansas Charter Authorizing Panel and the State Board of Education, and it will serve up to 600 students during the 2016-17 school year.
