Areas north of Interstate 30 expected to be without power until 6 p.m. Wednesday

SWEPCO is working to restore power to 5,200 customers after Monday night's storms and high winds, according to reports.

Crews made of 157 total SWEPCO and contact personnel are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power to areas of Texarkana, according to SWEPCO reports. Hardest hit areas were Hooks, Nash, Richmond Road , West 12th Street, West 39th Street, Taylor Street and western portions of Texarkana.

The estimated time of restoration (ETR) for the Texarkana area north of Interstate 30 is 6 p.m. Wednesday. The ETR for other areas of Texarkana, Texas, and Texarkana, Ark., is 11:59 p.m. tonight

The New Boston and DeKalb area's ETR is 6 p.m. tonight.

SWEPCO reports show that when severe storms and high winds hit the area Monday night, a peak of 10,000 customer outages occurred by 11:59 p.m. As of 2 p.m. Tuesday, the number had decreased to 5,200 customers without power.
