De QUEEN, Ark.-The 2015 Senior Citizens Appreciation Day will be held Friday on the Sevier County Courthouse square.
The event is from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is for anyone 55 and older. There will be vendors, food and entertainment.
Because of extremely high waters and continued rainfall, the 26th annual Tri-Lakes Big Bass Festival scheduled for this Saturday has been rescheduled for June 27 at De Queen, Gillham and Dierks Lakes.
Campgrounds and boat ramps are closed at De Queen and Gillham lakes.
In hosting the tournament, the fishermen's safety is most important, and tournament officials hope that by June 27, water will be at a safe level.
If an entry form has already been submitted, it will be good for the June 27 tournament.
The late entry date has been extended to June 26.
