Genoa Central High School announces Top Ten graduates

Valedictorian Gracie Anne Waters is the daughter of Rick and Sharon Waters. She has played varsity basketball for three years and was a two-time All-Conference/All-Region player. She was part of a three-time district championship team. Gracie is also Student Council President, Vice President of Family, Career,

and Community Leaders of America and an active member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend the University of Central Arkansas and pursue a career as a physical therapist.

Salutatorian Erin Acevedo is the daughter of Robin Moore and Marc Acevedo. She placed second in the 2014-2015 Quizbowl Regional Tournament and fourth in the 2015-2016 Quizbowl State Tournament. Erin placed second in the 2014-2015 Arkansas Regional Show and third in the 2015-2016 AYAA on-site competition. She serves as vice president of public relations in Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America and is President of Art Club. She is also an active member of the National Honor Society, Gifted and Talented, Spanish Club and Quizbowl team. Erin received the Presidential Excellence scholarship from Henderson State University.
