Applications are now being accepted for the 32nd annual Main Street Christmas Parade, which takes place at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 in downtown Texarkana.

The applications are available at the Main Street Texarkana office inside the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce office building at 819 N. State Line Ave. The deadline is Nov. 25.

This year's theme is "Letters to Santa," and all floats and entries must be lighted in order to be accepted.

Trophies will be presented in three categories for entries that best display the theme among marching bands, commercial and nonprofit groups. A team of judges will review the entries during the parade.

Prior to the parade, the Texarkana, Texas' Farmers' Market will open from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Texas Boulevard and West Third Street. The market offers such items as jams, jellies and Christmas trees, while musicians will play live music nearby. Live camels will also lead the parade.
