Texarkana, Texas, police are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday afternoon on South Lake Drive near Old Buchanan Road.
The injured man, who has not been identified, told police he had been shot twice in the chest. Someone drove the man at 1:40 p.m. Thursday to the Food Mart at 2702 South Lake Drive, where he told witnesses he had been shot.
The victim was transported to Wadley Regional Medical Center by LifeNet, said Shawn Vaughn, spokesman for the TTPD.
The man underwent surgery Thursday afternoon.
The location of the shooting was not immediately known.
"We are still trying to determine where it happened and what happened," Vaughn said.
