Fouke man arrested on drug manufacturing charge

A Fouke, Ark., man is being held in the Miller County jail after detectives with Bi State Narcotics Task Force found marijuana plants and manufacturing equipment at his home, said Sgt. Alan Keller with the Miller County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division.

Task force detectives received information Tuesday about a possible marijuana growing operation in Miller County, and investigation led them to the home of Michael Harrell on County Road 469 in Fouke, Keller said.

Miller County deputies and task force members found several mature marijuana plants growing in buckets behind Harrell's residence and equipment used in the manufacturing process, Keller said.

Harrell was arrested on a charge of manufacturing of a controlled substance-marijuana, he said.

The BI State Narcotics Task Force is comprised of Detectives from Miller County Sheriff's Office and Texarkana Arkansas Police Department.
