Man accused of DWI after crashing into doughnut shop

A 39-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of DWI Monday night after crashing a car into Master Donuts at the corner of New Boston and Robison roads, Texarkana, Texas, police said.

About 9:16 p.m., John Vaughn was driving a white Buick that left the roadway and struck the front of the Texas-side doughnut shop. Police said Vaughn was arrested for DWI and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.

According to an earlier Gazette report, Vaughn received treatment by paramedics at the scene, but his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported.
