Kenneth R. Callaway Jr., 37, of Texarkana, Texas, is being held in the Bi-State jail. His bail is set at $1,000,000.
Bowie County Sheriff's Office received a cyber tip from the NCMEC about a person with an IP address in the county that was used in the transmission of child pornography, according to investigators. Investigator Chris Sutherland was assigned to follow up on this tip.
Using the IP address given, Sutherland was able to determine that the illegal images were accessed over the internet from a residence in the 2500 block of South State Line Avenue. This eventually led to Sutherland and Capt. Robby McCarver speaking with Kenneth Callaway Jr., who resides at this location.
Callaway agreed to let the two deputies search his computer and two other hard drives and agreed to accompany them to Bi-State Building. Thousands of pictures of children engaged in various lewd sexual acts were recovered during this search.
Callaway admitted to the deputies that he had downloaded all the photographs they located on his computer and hard drives, which led to his arrest.
