Police investigate armed robbery at Wells Fargo on New Boston Road

The Wells Fargo Bank on New Boston Road was robbed about 9:15 a.m. Wednesday by a male who left the area riding a bicycle, according to Texarkana, Texas Police PIO Shawn Vaughn.

The suspect is a black male about 5'8" tall and weighs about 160 pounds. The person was wearing all black clothes and waved a pistol at people inside the bank. He also waved the weapon at a teller and demanded money.

The suspect left the area riding a bicycle. A witness followed the man using a bicycle to the intersection of Melton and MacArthur streets where police found the bike abandoned. The witness said the suspect got into a charcoal gray 4Runner.
