Former county worker to vie for commish

Longtime Bowie County resident and former employee Kenneth Zachry has filed his candidacy for Bowie County commissioner of Precinct 2 in the March 2018 Republican Primary.

Zachry has worked in Precinct 2 for 10 years, with nine of those years being under John Addington and one year under Tom Whitten.

He is employed by White's Paint and Blast as a contractor and by Red River Army Depot in the transportation/lot management branch.

Zachry has been married for 27 years. His wife has been a teacher at Pleasant Grove Elementary for 15 years. They have two children who graduated from Pleasant Grove High School and are attending college.

His main goals as commissioner are to ensure the financial stability of Bowie County and to protect deputies.
