NEW BOSTON, Texas-Bowie County commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. today, to consider relocating one of the county's 36 voting precinct polling places.
Commissioners will consider moving Precinct 11 down the street from Leary Elementary School at 9500 W. New Boston Road to the C-5 Volunteer Fire Department building at 9534 W. New Boston Road.
Commissioners are looking at giving Precinct 11 a place where there's more parking spaces, better polling location access and possible "drive-in voting" arrangements.
In other business, commissioners will consider approving the county's 2018 holiday schedule. They will also consider approving some slight changes in the refinancing of U.S. Highway 82 bond indebtedness, initially approved last month.
