Reena Corbin, 34, was arrested Friday on a charge of felony theft of property, $30,000 to $150,000, according to Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman Shawn Vaughn.
Corbin was released the same day on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond, Vaughn said.
According to court records, police began investigating Corbin after staff at Coldwell Banker Elite in Texarkana, Texas, contacted them regarding seven suspicious property transactions. Corbin allegedly began working as a "non-compete" broker in January 2015 and was paid an annual salary of $88,000 plus bonuses, but was to collect no commissions. Court records allege Corbin manipulated payments to Coldwell Banker from businesses such as title companies to her benefit.
Corbin is listed as an associate with Re/Max Preferred real estate agency in Texarkana, Texas, on the company's website.
Vaughn said the case has been referred to the Bowie County District Attorney's Office for review and possible presentment to a grand jury for formal indictment.
