The Kingdom Church, 1324 Walnut St., is conducting a social issues awareness initiative, Connecting the Dots, each Sunday this month.
The church's motto is building people. They want to see people's lives built in every area.
Each week there will be a guest speaker. The topics and speakers are Fitness and Nutrition by Adonis Robinson on Sunday, Blended Families by Lewis Hemphill Sr. on Feb. 19 and Mental Health by Dr. John Abney of Positive Horizons on Feb. 26.
Each speaker is highly knowledgeable in his or her field and has been chosen with careful consideration.
A question-and-answer session will follow each presentation, and pastor Derek J. Murphy will give a short sermon.
There will be a community breakfast each Sunday morning at 10, and the service will begin at 10:30.
