Police arrest fourth suspect in robbery

Texarkana, Texas, police have made a fourth arrest in a robbery that occurred Jan. 22 in the parking lot of a Walmart Neighborhood Market store.

Deion-Trez Ellis, 20, of Texarkana, Texas, was arrested Thursday afternoon on a charge of aggravated robbery. Ellis was arrested without incident at a relative's home in Texarkana, said Shawn Vaughn, Texarkana, Texas, Police Department spokesman.

Officers were dispatched to the report of a robbery of an individual at the store, located in the 3500 block of Richmond Road, at about 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 22. The victim told officers she was sitting in her vehicle in the parking lot when two young males approached her. They initially asked to use her cellphone and started to walk away after she refused. However, they both returned to her window a few seconds later. 

One of the suspects pointed a pistol at her and demanded she hand over her purse. The suspects then fled on foot with the victim's property before getting into a vehicle occupied by two other people.

Three other suspects, who were juveniles ages 16 and 14, were previously arrested and are being held in area juvenile detention centers. 

One of those juveniles was also arrested in connection with a robbery of an individual who was sitting in his driveway on Sandlin Avenue on Jan. 23.

Ellis is in the Bi-State Jail, and his bond has been set at $100,000.
