All campuses in New Boston Independent School District will be closed Friday due to an increase in cases of the flu and stomach virus.
Superintendent Dr. Rose Mary Neshyba said they've been watching attendance numbers decline for the past couple of weeks, and the closing will allow a deep cleaning of the facilities to provide a healthier environment.
Students are scheduled to return to class Tuesday, as Monday is a professional development day for teachers.
