Local bank robbed for second time this year

Texarkana, Ark., police are looking for a man who robbed BancorpSouth at about 10 a.m. Thursday in the 2200 block of North State Line Avenue.

Details of the police investigation revealed that a man about 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt and a blue mask only showing his eyes entered the bank and demanded money from the teller while displaying a handgun.

Upon receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank and headed south from the building.

In the first of two armed robberies at the bank this year, a man wearing a mask and dark clothing robbed the branch on Jan. 9. The investigation is ongoing.
